If you are looking for the most elegant and exquisite Afternoon/High Tea or luxury picnics in Central Ohio and the assurance of dealing with a reliable business that can curate a luxury experience then Posh Teatime Co. is the only choice.


We offer a stunning selection of vintage and modern era tea sets for you to choose from, the most beautiful cutlery and silverware, a generous selection of delicious sweet and savory treats prepared in house by our sister company Ella's Enchanted Apron LLC,. Posh Teatime packages add incredible value and make your special occasion unforgettable. Our vision is to offer extraordinarily gorgeous, bespoke high teas and picnics that are whimsical yet posh and refined.

What does your High Tea consist of and how much does it cost?

Our package offerings and prices vary,  we are sure one of our packages will meet your needs!

 

Do you have any additional surcharges I should be aware of?

We strive to be transparent about all potential costs to ensure your experience with Posh Teatime Co. is both enjoyable and seamless. In instances where the venue or home presents restricted accessibility, such as flights of stairs without elevator access, we do apply a Restricted Accessibility Fee. This policy is in place to safeguard the delicate nature of our China and to prioritize the well-being of our staff.

Additionally, for tea parties accommodating 10 guests or more, we introduce a nominal Tea Host charge by the hour. This ensures that your event is serviced with the attention and elegance it deserves, allowing you and your guests to fully indulge in the Posh Teatime experience.

 

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Absolutely! We believe everyone deserves to enjoy our teatime treasures, so we're more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Just let us know your needs when you book. 

We offer gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, seed-free, and grain-free options for all our packages. For groups with fewer than 10 guests requiring any of these accommodations, there is a $25 per person surcharge. For groups with 11 or more guests requiring these accommodations, the surcharge is $10 per person.

 

How does the Afternoon/High Tea work?

Prior to Booking Our Services

  • Determine your date, approximate guest numbers, venue and budget.
  • Review our website and social media pages for inspiration and ideas.
 
Reservation/Booking Process
  1. Choose an Afternoon Tea or Picnic package.
  2. Select the number of guests.
  3. Once the deposit is paid, your booking will be confirmed and we will send you confirmation, a receipt for your payment and a ‘Afternoon Tea Menu Selection Form’.
  4. When you are ready fill in our step by step selection form including your details, food selections, & extras if any, then sign and submit.
  5. Advise final guest numbers 7 days before your function and we will adjust your order. Full balance to be paid prior to the event date
 
On the day
  1. Position your tables and chairs before our arrival (if you have not rented them from us, tables are included with Picnic packages)
  2. We will arrive armed with all the china, linen, food and extras to begin laying your tables, aiming to complete the set-up just before your guests arrive:
  3. We refrigerate the patisseries , milk, and cream, and fill up the tea kettles to boil for the water for the tea
  4. We set up signage and chalkboard displays.
  5. We lay out tablecloths 
  6. We set out teacups, saucers, side plates and cake stands, and lay out the cutlery, napkins and afternoon tea guides.
  7. We arrange the sandwich platters, teapots, and milk and sugar jars and fill tea bowls and set out a variety Posh Teatime Co. loose leaf teas and spring water.
  8. We begin plating up sandwiches and cover with cling wrap to keep them fresh.
  9. As your start time nears, we heat the scones (optional) and begin plating up patisseries, cream and jam.
  10. We fill creamers with milk and add any finishing touches, ready for your event
  11. Your guests arrive.
  12. If you elect to have a Posh Teatime Co. Tea Host(ess) then your guests will be greeted by welcoming staff, given a presentation on afternoon tea history, etiquette and ceremonies. Tea service will be provided by white gloved Tea Host(ess).
  13. You and your guests enjoy a lavish Posh Teatime Co. experience.
After the event
  1.  Rinse out the teacups, milk jugs, cream and jam bowls, remove food scraps from the plates and leave it all on one table (If you have paid for a Tea Host(ess) they will handle the clean up).
  2. We will come back at a mutually convenient time to pack down the equipment and take it away.

What does your Luxury Picnic consist of and how much does it cost?

How are your services unique? 

Our services shine through their meticulous attention to detail, premium quality teas and fare, and the bespoke experiences we craft for each event. From the initial planning to the final sip of tea, we ensure your teatime is unforgettable and uniquely yours.

 

What is the minimum amount of guests?

Our intimate gatherings start at a minimum of 4 guests, ensuring every teatime experience maintains the high standard of personal touch and luxury we're known for.

 

Do you offer children packages?

Yes, we offer delightful children's packages designed to introduce the younger guests to the joy of teatime with fun, age-appropriate treats and activities. A magical experience awaits our little friends!

 

What are the payment options? 

We accept electronic payment options for your convenience, including major credit cards and bank transfers. Let's discuss what works best for you.

 

Do you sell gift cards? 

Indeed, we do! Posh Teatime Co. gift cards make for a thoughtful and luxurious treat for loved ones who appreciate the finer things in life. They're available in various denominations to suit your gifting needs.

 

What time of day should I host my High Tea event? 

High Tea traditionally fills the gap between lunch and dinner, making late afternoon (around 3-5 PM) the ideal time. However, we're flexible and happy to accommodate your schedule to make your event perfect.

 

What is the dress code for High Tea? 

High Tea is an occasion to dress up a bit! We suggest smart casual or semi-formal attire to complement the elegant setting. Feel free to don your finest fascinator!

 

What is the dress code for a Luxury Picnic?

For our Luxury Picnics, we recommend comfortable yet chic outdoor attire. Think garden party elegance – stylish but suitable for a relaxed, outdoor setting.

What is included in a High Tea hosted by Posh Teatime Co.?
We have created a delightful range of teatime experience and picnic packages designed to suit all budgets. Our high tea includes an indulgent menu of freshly made sweets & savories, delicious finger sandwiches, scones with cream & jam, a selection of boutique teas, luscious napkins, a complete tea set, exquisite cutlery & silverware, sandwich plates, teapots, tiered cake stands, elegant crisp linen and an expert team member to lay the table! Do I get all the food items outlined on your menus & add-ons page?
Each high tea & luxury picnic package includes a predetermined number of sweets and savory items. The menu and add-ons page outlines our entire menu out of which you can make your selection up to the number of sweet treats and savories allowed in your chosen tea or picnic package.

 

Do your packages include tables and chairs?
Our high tea packages do no include tables & chairs you may request them as an add-on. Our luxury picnics include sitting pillows and picnic tables.

 

Can I substitute the food items in my package? 
Yes, you may make substitutions. Additional charges may apply for premium food items substituted.

 

Can you cater for large events such as weddings & corporate functions?
We currently have the capacity to service 200 guests. Although we advise to book at least 30-60 days prior or earlier as our services are in high demand.

Can I order more food items to add to my package?
Yes, Yes & Yes you may always order additional food. Contact us directly to discuss customizations.

 

Do you offer menu tastings? 
At this time we do not offer free tastings but you can always order our delicious food items a la carte to taste! 

 

Is your bone china really vintage? 
This is a yes and no answer.  We currently offer 12 varying fine china styles. Most of our china sets, cutlery, glassware and linens are authentically vintage and the others are modern sets that emulate the elegant beauty of our vintage sets.

 

Is your fine china for rent?
Indeed. Our exquisite fine china is available for rentals at very competitive prices. Please see our china rental packages for more details.

 

Is your china for sale?
Some of our china, tea sets & accessories are available for sale in our online store. Treat yourself to a piece of luxury from our exquisite high tea and picnic merchandise.

Note: All items for sale are brand new unless otherwise stated.

 

Do you offer any additions to the standard food add-ons?
Yes. We offer a wide selection of add-ons from croquet, giant Jenga, elected to make your next high tea or picnic unforgettable! Please see our add-ons and scroll down to the additional extras to discover what we have to offer.

 

Can you provide waiters/Tea Host(ess) for my function?
Yes we can. Give us enough notice we will try our best to fulfil your request our wait staff rates are quite reasonable. 

 

How do I book my preferred tea set/china for my high tea or picnic?
