Booking, Refunds & Cancellation Policies
Reservations/Booking
To secure your booking a deposit of 50% is required. All booking requests that have not been paid a deposit are defined as tentative and dates & time slots cannot be guaranteed. Example, if another party books the same date, requests the same time and pays their deposit 1st you would then lose your tentative booking.
Once you receive your Posh Teatime Co. proposal and the deposit is paid your booking will be confirmed and you will be emailed a receipt.
Deposits apply to the total purchase.
The balance must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to your high tea or luxury picnic, unless other arrangements have been made in writing with Posh Teatime Co.
Refunds
Posh Teatime Co. will refund the entire purchase amount if we are unable to provide our services. This clause does not cover client-initiated cancellations. If Posh Teatime Co. is unable to provide services (or part of) due to extenuating or unforeseen circumstances, clients may not make any claim other then a full refund of deposit.
Rush Fee Policy for Last-Minute Bookings
Tea Parties of 12 or More Guests:
Booking Window: If your tea party is booked within 14 business days of the event date, it will be subject to a $500 rush fee.
Reason: This rush fee is necessary to accommodate the expedited preparations, including sourcing fresh ingredients, organizing staff, and ensuring the timely delivery of all our high-quality services and products.
We understand that sometimes plans come together quickly, and we are committed to making your event as special as possible, even on short notice. The rush fee helps us manage these last-minute arrangements without compromising the excellence you expect from Posh Teatime Co.
What the Rush Fee Covers:
- Expedited Coordination: Fast-tracking all logistical aspects to ensure everything is perfect for your event.
- Priority Sourcing: Quickly securing fresh and premium ingredients for your menu.
- Staff Allocation: Ensuring we have the best team members available to serve and assist at your event.
- Guaranteed Setup: Making sure all china, linen, food, and extras are prepared and set up beautifully and punctually.
Returns: If you have an item that you wish to return, please write to us on our Contact Us page or call 1 (614) 407-9360 within 14 days of receipt to receive a returned merchandise authorization (RMA) number. You MUST contact us prior to returning your products. WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS WITHOUT AN RMA NUMBER. We do not issue credit for items returned without an RMA number. We do not cover the costs of return shipping charges unless due to company error. In order to receive full credit, all returns must be unopened in their original packaging and in a resalable condition. For orders placed between Thanksgiving Day and December 25th, we accept returns through January 31st of the following year.
Tea Exchanges: Posh Teatime Co. will gladly exchange any unopened product for a product of comparable value within 14 days of receipt. You will be responsible for return shipping costs unless due to company error. You must email us at info@poshteatime.com or call 1 (614) 407-9360 for an RMA number. No exchange will be given for items returned without an RMA number.
Accessory Warranty: Posh Teatime Co. accessories carry a limited one-year warranty on manufacturer defects. Proof of purchase must be provided to show that the purchase is within the timeframe to receive a replacement. Please retain purchase receipts for your records. For third-party products not produced by Posh Teatime Co., please see specific manufacturer warranty (usually located on the product box) for specific terms and conditions. Please retain purchase receipts for your records.
Event Cancellations
Our clients may initiate booking cancellations, but the deposit will be forfeited, no exceptions.
Client cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the event will forfeit the entire booking amount.
Inclement Weather for Picnics
In the event of rain, hail, sleet, natural disaster, acts of God, government mandates, Posh Teatime Co. will work with you to transfer your booking to another date. Refunds are not provided due to inclement weather.
Covid-19 Policies & Restrictions
If an event cannot take place due to restrictions imposed by public health orders or other similar government directives, (total lockdown or when gatherings of 15 or more guests is not allowed), the Customer will be entitled to request that the event is moved to a different date without charge. Posh Teatime Co. will liaise with the Customer to help secure an alternative date, but it does not warrant that any dates specifically requested by the Customer will be available.– In the event of moderate government restrictions (gatherings of 15 or more guests allowed), the Customer can either proceed with a reduced number of guests or postpone their event to a later date without penalty, provided that the Customer gives Posh Teatime Co. sufficient written notice (at least 7 days prior to the event date).
If less than 7 days notice prior to the event date is given, a 25% fee of the invoice total will apply to compensate for expenses already incurred by third party suppliers, labor costs, staffing costs, etc (such as time to prepare your order, expenses on ingredients for your food etc..).– In any of the circumstances above, if the Customer elects to cancel rather than to postpone an event, the holding deposit will be forfeited and our standard cancellation policy will apply.
In the event of cancellation due to personal reasons, anxiety over Covid-19, unhappy to proceed with reduced guests, unhappy to postpone an event etc… the holding deposit will be forfeited and our standard cancellation policy will apply.
Booking Changes
If the number of guests in your party increases, please notify Posh Teatime Co. via email at info@poshteatime.com 7 days prior to the event. Unfortunately, if guests cancel we can not make any price adjustments, but you will receive the same amount of food per person as selected with your package (more delicious left overs to take home!).
